To all the haters, I beg to differ. I thought Transformers : Dark of the Moon was absolutely AMAZING.
I give it a 8/10. :)
The trailer.
I'm a movie junkie so I basically watch any genre of movies.
I watch drama, Chinese war flicks [SO GOOD.] , comedy. Basically anything that is watchable. I can't tolerate certain movies though. nothing comes to mind at at moment.. except for knocked up.
The graphics is absolutely MIND-BLOWING. They really did pay attention to the details, it's very evident. From how the aliens moved to how the city would look like in it's doomsday. So NICE. The movie plot wasn't bad in my opinion, it was very focused on showing fear and humanity.
I for one, thought that the acting wasn't bad. Shia was screaming, crying and... he was just basically showing tons of emotion. PLUS, Shia LaBeouf and Rosie Hungtington-Whiteley had good chemistry together. :) Oh yeah, she replaces Megan Fox well. :D She gives off this sort of smart vibe and mg, SHE'S SO PRETTY and she ran the whole way in heels! Who does that?!
Basically, don't attempt to over-analyse this movie. It's a blockbuster, just go with the flow and enjoy. Blockbusters are meant to be visually pleasing not thought provoking. If you wanted something thought provoking, you should have went and watch something else.
Watching the movie because of the graphics? Totally understandable because it was awesome. :D
The story to how I came to watch this movies was when I was hanging out with my mom's friends and we wanted to watch a good movie. Initial choices were The King's speech and you know lah, all those oscar glorified movies.
The only reason why I gave it a 7 out of 10 was purely because I'm not used to gory movies. It just weirds me out with the bloody-ness BUT exceptions are towards Chinese war flicks which are so-the-awesomeee!
I think James Franco did some A-level acting in here, Alex Pettyfer take note. It was basically a one man show, the whole way! He really demonstrated some pure human nature. When he was scared, I felt scared. Well... he was delusional and half crazy, tends to happen when you're hungry, dehydrated and frustrated over a rock. He was thinking about his past and future and some blonde girl.
I didn't know how they did the blood clot in his eyes though. Anyways, point being that he went all out and wasn't afraid to be erm... less glamorous.
And yes, I missed the most glorious part of the scene - The amputation scene.
Sorry lah, it was just so @#$% scary! The sound effect and the bloody-ness and gurrrrrrrrrrhhhhh! Initially, I just closed my ears then I closed my eyes as well lah. The dude was amputating his hand in some deserted place! It was very gory and some people even left the cinema when it reached that part.
Ok lah, I was peeking here and there and my friend was going like 'Waaaaaaaaaaah!' palms on the side of his chin. Men. *Shakes head*
Anyways... I think Aron Ralston is a truly brave man. He had such clear perseverance and will to live. He did all he could just to go on thinking about how to escape his situation. He drank pee, ate his contacts and just about anything! If it was me.. knowing me... I probably would have starved to death already. He tried to cut off his hand at the start but you know, bone. So, he broke it off and amputated off his hand. :0
I salute thee!
It's a movie about survival and a true story, so yeah. Not bad. :)
She did. He climbed. There started their love affair.
ANDDDDDD....
I had tickets to witness it, one day before it premiers!
I feel so proud. :D
All I can say that the premier was quite strict since they had metal detectors and everything outside. :0
My word of advice is to watch it in 2D and TRULY enjoy the animation. :)
9/10
Walt Disney Pictures presents RAPUNZEL: A TANGLED TALE, an action-packed, swashbuckling, animated musical comedy about the girl behind 70 feet of magical, golden hair. A princess stolen from her parents’ castle as a baby, Rapunzel (voice of MANDY MOORE) is locked in a hidden tower longing for adventure. Now an imaginative and determined teenager, she takes off on a hilarious, hair-raising escapade with the help of a dashing bandit (voice of ZACHARY LEVI). With the secret of her royal heritage hanging in the balance and her captor in pursuit, Rapunzel and her cohort find adventure, heart, humor, and hair… lots of hair.
With original music by Alan Menken and lyrics by Glenn Slater, this comedic re-imagining of the classic Brothers Grimm fairytale comes to theaters in Disney Digital 3D™.
How should I describe it? The movie is truly a REALLY good Disney original movie. I kid you not,but maybe I'm prejudice since I like Disney motion pictures. :D
I think it's waaayyy better than The princess and the frog. I mean it was cute, it was going for the really party vibe, since it was so colourful. I guess? Rapunzel is truly Disney Princess all the way! They focus majorly on the whole plot and animation quality.
I thought it was amazing that they could create so much depth between the two leading characters in such a short time. I was going 'awwwwww' all the way. Though I thought the ending was kinda mehh since everyone already expected a happy ending for them right?
Enough with me typing. PICTURES NOWWWW!
Flynn Rider with his posters. :D
And they meeeeeett! :DD
Watch out for Pascal!
Scary Mother Gothel
The nose variations. :)
That's Maximus.
Yes, the leading lady.
PS, Thank you Nuffnang. :)
Nowww, who's gonna wait for Winnie the Pooh with me? :)
Read under the cut for some spoliers.Sie wurden gewarnt!
The HOLIDAYS are upon us, dear people.
Well... not exactly.. it's more like next week but still! I'm already in holiday mood. :D
Joy. :)
Anyways, been watching movies twice a day.
Shaddap, I did not just waste 4 hours of my life in these activities. :)
I really like this poster, it's pretty sweet in my opinion. :)
Synopsis:In the romantic drama Remember Me, Robert Pattinson plays Tyler, a rebellious young man in New York City who has had a strained relationship with his father (Pierce Brosnan) ever since tragedy separated their family. Tyler doesn't think anyone can possibly understand what he is going through, until the day he meets Ally (Emilie de Ravin) through an unusual twist of fate. Love was the last thing on his mind, but as her spirit unexpectedly heals and inspires him, he begins to fall for her. Through their love, he begins to find happiness and meaning in his life. But soon, hidden secrets are revealed, and the circumstances that brought them together slowly threaten to tear them apart. Remember Me is an unforgettable story about the power of love, the strength of family, and the importance of living passionately and treasuring every day of one's life
I remember thinking the blurest thing ever when I was reading the DVD cover.
"Why is it shot in 2001??"
Oh, Chia yeeeeeeeee.
I personally thought the movie wasn't bad lah but I dunno why Rotten Tomatoes only gave it a 27%! That's rather sad lah..
I thought the problem just died recently but who knew it was already 6 years? I kinda feel bad for the family as they lost two sons. :(
Robert Pattison can actually act a bit lah, he actually makes Tyler more of a believable character. Even if, Tyler is yet another brooding weirdo who looks like an utter drunkard. He is lah but still, Rob should start acting in other roles which will give him more recognition. I believe that people have something against Rob because he's a sparkling vampire who makes money from the franchise. Even with all the benefits of being in the Twilight franchise, Rob cemented himself as a pro brooding actor. Seriously, he's good at acting as a brooding love stricken soulless.. person!
You have to admit he has quite good looking features though. :D
Frankly, Emilie De Ravin is a WAAAAAAYYYY better actress than Kristen Stewart.
No offence but seriously, she is like a piece of wooden block with twitching problems. =________=
I know Bella is worried that Edward will leave her and sheeesh [I've read the books.]but I don't think she should stumble/mumble in her words and be so emotionless right? Despite popular believe, I think Bella Swan is quite a complex character which actresses could really sink their teeth into.
She sucked at chattering her teeth in Eclipse, no offence. [I've watched Eclipse as well.]
Anyways, Emilie has the girl next door vibe. She's so lovable and does actually act well. We see her first hand when Tyler was trying to ask her out and her replies were quite funny? I'm not sure lahh but I genuinely think that she has the talent to go far in this industry and she's prettyyyy. :)
She cries, smiles and get pissed off at the most appropriate times.
Emilie De Ravin
Should YOU watch the movie?
I'm not sure, everyone has their own taste and views on movies so I wouldn't actually know if it's your 'cup of tea'. I'm absolutely terrified of horror movies because they make me paranoid of the toilet. =_______= It sounds dumb but everyone's different in their own sense lah.
This may come off as superficial but I wanted to watch the movie because of the poster. =________=
Meh, so sue me.
Receptionist: You know you can't smoke in here. Tyler: Why do you have an ashtray? Receptionist: It's a bowl, it completes the room. Tyler: I guess it was just here to tease me.
Tyler: You have a daughter who sincerely believes that you don't like her. She's communicating. Why aren't you listening? Why aren't you *riveted?*
That line was damn good and the acting was genuine. :D
The other day, me and my dad went to watch Ip man 2. I do believe it was last Sunday?
We had a choice of either watching Ip man 2 or Iron man 2.
OR
In the end, we choose Ip man 2. It was already a loosing battle for Iron Man 2 lah, I've been waiting for Ip Man 2 since my last post about it. Click!
Ok, too be fair, I choose it because everyone was raving about how good it was and how AWESOME the fights were. Then the Star News paper gave it a four star so I naturally choose it.
HOW DID I THINK IT WAS?
Too be fair, I thought the movie was quite good and the fights were indescribable. Indescribable in a good way though! Lol. The fights were good, when they did the fist fight, all you see is a blur. They are THAT fast and some more, both are 40 to 50-ish. =0
I think the trailer gave out a bit too much information about the whole movie. Trailers are suppose to spark your interest and raise your curiosity. That's why, I don't read much reviews, I look at the ratings and that's all. I want to find out what happens in the movie myself.
Down below is the screen shots from the movie, DON'T watch it if you don't want SPOILERS!
I thought it was easier than finding all the pictures from the movie.
I noticed they filmed a lot of parts on Huang Xiaoming (黃曉明).
*Psshhh!* He models for Gucci too.
I do think you should watch, not because it's a good martial arts movie because it has a lot of values too. My dad said the first one was better though, the fight scenes were blurry in this one.
Btw, they portrayed 'The Twister' in such an awful manner. They treated him with respect but he just spat in their face and disrespected them. Stupid rude hairy person. ==
I'm not talking about the cartoon.
Whenever I say..
CY : I want to watch NINE!
People : OHH, you mean the cartoon? I also want to watch!
Cy : *dies very softly*
Since I watch already.. [Repeated]
I now laugh in your face.. 'BWAHAHAHAHAHA.'
Humour me sikit lah. ;p
I had been waiting for this movie to come out for AGES. I'm not joking eh. Imagine my pain, whenever I'm watching E!, suddenly the trailer pops up and Fergie is singing 'Be Italian'. I haven't watch, damn.
I wouldn't say it's an AMAZING movie, it's just..good? It's kinda random, they jump the scenes too many times. I kinda understand it, since it's basically about a director trying to balance the women in his life? Or, somewhere along those lines.
All of them are equally hot and no point comparing since they are all doing different roles.Penelope Cruz and Fergie got a lot of praise for their role and I totally agree with them. DID YOU SEE WHAT THEY DID? Crazy! Sad case for them though, acting as the mistress and prostitute. *coughs*
Penelope Cruz.
Fergie.
Isn't the choreography for the sand dance just cool?! :D I especially love the line 'Be a singer, be a lover'' Actually, most lines from the song is good. Just listen a bit more carefully. I never knew Fergie was so curvy. 0_0 I was like 'Woooaaah.' Her voice does scare me a bit though, strong vocals. It's a good thing!
I have no idea what I have been talking about all this while so I shall make it simple. WATCH. Since there's so many award winning actresses in it! There's tons of singing and dancing too. I know none of the ladies are as young as they used to be.. but they're still extremely cool.
I adore Nicole Kidman, maybe because she's so elegant.
You might or might not fancy this movie but it's good to try something new. It's very dark and I love the graphic of the whole thing? They film the FILMED! :D
I was bored in the afternoon, so I decided to watch Ip man. I've been wanting to watch it for quite some time already but was far too lazy to find the dvd. As you all know, it's a 2008 movie. I'm slightly far behind. Nevertheless, I will blog about it because it was so bloooddddy AWESOME!
It's been such awhile since I watched good fight scenes. War flicks are awesome, especially the Chinese movies. They are so good at those kind of things. War flicks are cool but actual wars suck. Keep that in mind, come, say 'PEACEEE!' with me! Lol.
My rating is 8/10!
I just adore the movie till I want to watch again. And and AND good news! Ip man 2 is coming out May 2010! The movie is gonna focus more on Ip man teaching his students and of course got Bruce Lee lah!
This fight was kinda cruel. The Japanese dude is cool, quite good at Judo.
Isn't the wife just so pretty? :DDD Even though she was a nag in the movie but so pretty lah. China has so many pretty ladies, like every movie, the girls are all jaw-droopingly-beautiful. Men are so lucky they have so many choices to choose from lah.
As everyone knows, Bruce Lee is his most celebrated student. I was curious so I went to youtube a fight scene from Bruce Lee. Ok only lah, anyone has his movies? I never watch before. 0_0
I felt depressed after watching the movie. It's not a happy movie, it makes you think about life and DEATH.
I thought the movie was pretty good though, but rather sad. He came to the world an old man but left as a baby. I thought it was really sweet when both of them finally caught up with each other in the middle though. It was a very heart-warming scene. I guess it would suck to be an immortal, to see everyone around you die before your eyes. T.T I rate this movie a 7/10.
Cate Blanchett
She's crazy. I thought she looked extremely graceful through out the whole film. I have never seen anyone said 'I need to pee' so gracefully before. I mean if she was not graceful, how could she have played the elfish queen from The lord of the rings?
I was enchanted by this child at the start of the movie. Doesn't she look adorable? FINE, I though she was cute because of her red hair lah! So I went to do the most sensible thing, I went to GOOGLE about her. And do you know who's sister she turned out to be? Dakota Fanning's sister! Her name is Mary Elle Fanning and she's 11 years old. Dunno if it's insult to injury though, she was acting as a 6 year old. Lol. She has the youthful appearance like her sister lah but can look mature when dressed up.
